Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, what could have been

Have you ever wondered how harsh the showbiz industry can be?

Well folks, I for one certainly can say that you're not alone in pondering about that as I always have been curious as to what my favourite actors have to deal with in a daily basis. Now, the film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (directed by Quentin Tarantino) aims to answer that question, if the said question takes place in the golden age of Hollywood, specifically in 1969, with a huge ensemble cast starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradd Pitt, and Margot Robbie.

The comedy-drama film is composed as a homage to the golden age as mentioned earlier, showing the last few moments before massive changes occured in Hollywood, as seen in the multiple storylines of the main protagonists of the film, all boiling down in a very unlikely conclusion.

Starring fictitious character Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) with his seemingly inseperable stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they tread on in 1969 Hollywood as the western star loses opportunities to work as a protagonist due to the various changes happening in the showbiz industry like the changing demands from directors, leading to changing demands for a new generation of actors and actresses. Rick Dalton takes this as his downfall, like coming from the front page and ending up being a fire starter for some hobo's trash bonfire. He takes that very personally and he turns into a spiralling world of alcoholism, alongside his best bud Cliff, who himself has some secrets that he has to keep to himself, even from Rick. All hope is not lost for him as his new neighbours move in, revered actress and model Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) along with her husband Roman Polanski (Rafał Zawierucha). Not wanting to star in "Spaghetti Westerns" (a rather racial term for western films produced by Itallians, thus the word Spaghetti, or sometimes even Macaroni), he tries his best to befriend his new neighbours.

From the film showing Rick Dalton taking jobs as a secondary character in westerns, a genre that he is revered for in his prime, the film transitions to showing the daily life of his trusty stunt double, Cliff Booth. A simple man, living in his simple trailer, with his simple dog. Except for everything else he does, that is.

He is often seen driving Rick's car from set back to his home and goes on in his daily life. One day, on the other hand, as he was doing his daily routine of driving Rick's car back home he comes across a not-so-decent-looking hippie. An underage hippie, at that too. Cliff, being the good person that he is, gives her a nod as if to show that he's into her. Another instance occurs that they meet and this time Cliff gives the hippie a ride to where she needs to meet her fellow hippie friends. The girl unnamed and would rather be called "Pussycat" belongs to a certain cult of a bunch of hippies going around murdering people that goes against them, aka the Manson Family, an actual historical desert community and cult which, in real life, was highly active at the same year the film is set in. They are definitely people who you do not want to mess with, considering they will reluctantly murder you if you come so close as to even insulting one of their "famiy members".

Cliff, in one of the instances that he meets Pussycat, decides to drop her off at where the Manson Family lives, an old and washed up film set now riddled with a bunch of drugged and underaged hippies. Cliff, being a stunt double of many years and films, recognizes the old film set to be that of "Bounty Law", the fictitious western that Rick Dalton used to star in. Seeing the many hippies around, Cliff suspects that they are abusing and are taking advantage of the ranch's owner, his old buddy George Spahn.

Again, like the Manson Family, an actual person who owned THE actual Spahn Ranch who let the aforementioned family to live in his ranch, very popular as well for shooting western films. And, again, being the good guy Cliff is, he decides to have a word with George who firmly dismisses his worries, though his problems doesn't stop there as he sees a guy named "Clem" ripping one of his tires off. Pissed, Cliff beats the submission out of Clem and forces him to change his tire, which leads the hippies to call for the help of a key person in the Manson Family murders, Tex Watson. He arrives late as he sees Cliff's car head on to the road before he could do anything. Of course, this wouldn't be the last time Tex will make an appearance with Cliff on screen.

Oh, did I mention that Cliff also reminisces that one time he had a sparring match with Bruce Lee in the set of "The Green Hornet", which ends up in him getting fired, aside from the the rumors surrounding him that he murdered his own wife. He's a a war torn veteran through and through, and like soldiers after the war, he's struggling to find a well-paying job, other than being Rick's stunt double.

The movie goes back to Rick and this time around, he's back on set, but as a villain for the western show Lancer. Here, he's shown to be having a hard time memorizing his lines and characterizing for his role, as if he's in a shock that from being the main character, he's turned into a villain that changes every week, or worse case, every other episode of the show. Nevertheless, Rick Dalton gives his best performance, with a little pep talk with a younger actress on set, Trudi Fraser, played by American child actress Julia Butters.

His performance on set makes both Trudi and the director of Lancer, Sam Wanamaker, impressed. After his enthralling performance, Rick Dalton's casting agent Marvin Schwarz, protrayed none other than Al Pacino, casts Rick as Sergio Corbucci's new lead in his new Spaghetti Western titled "Nebraska Jim". All goes swimmingly in Rick and Booth's six month trip to Italy, wherein not only does he appear in Nebraska Jim but also in two additional Westerns and even a Eurospy comedy, a genre of spy films aimed at imitating James Bond and the like, often turning into a hysterical comedy of sorts. Not only that, but he also comes home with an Italian wife of his own, Francesca Capucci. Sadly, this will mark the end of the long time partnership between Rick and Booth, both personally and financially, as he wants to start anew with a family of his own.

That said, the two set out to drink, this time not because of Rick's depression and state of denial, but to commemorate all the times that they have spent together as actor and stunt double, most importantly as best friends. They get home pretty smashed and banged up, Sharon Tate and her husband goes out for dinner with their friends, whom later go back home late in the night. Booth takes his dog for a walk after smoking an LSD cigarette he bought off of a sketchy looking hippy one time he was driving home.

This being the final act of the film, we finally see the Manson Family hippies in action. Tex, Sadie, Flower Child, and Katie from arrive right outside Rick's house, which he finds utterly annoying. He makes sure to let them know by shouting them off of his lawn with their noisy car. The Manson Family backs off for a while and rethinks their plan of instead killing Rick Dalton because they agreed that it was Hollywood who taught them off all the imaginable ways there are in murdering people. Flower Child does not approve of this in every way possible, leaving behind everybody else while taking their car. Left with no other choice, Tex and his gang goes up to Rick's house and attempts to murder everyone.

Luckily enough, the first people they meet after breaking in Rick's house was Capucci and Booth, who just got back from his walk with his dog. A fight ensues between them where Capucci gets unconscious. Booth and his dog Brandy finishes both Tex and Katie while badly injuring Sadie, though Booth himself is left in an unconscious state after suffering a lot of blunt trauma and getting stabbed. Bleeding, Sadie goes outside Rick's backyard and pool, where Rick is having a drink of margaritas while playing the song "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron" by The Royal Guardsmen on his headphone on. He sees Sadie walking around, limping, blood dripping everywhere, which alarms him of the unknown mayhem that had just ensued in his household. Without a second thought, he sets off to take an actual flamethrower he kept from filming one of his World War 2 films, and incinerates the hell out of the hippie.

The film ends in a light note, with Booth being taken to the hospital and Rick finally getting invited inside of Sharon Tate's house for a drink, which he accepts with a smile on his face.

The film overall doesn't shy away from the brilliance and oddity of Quentin Tarantino films. It captures the feel and looks of the late 60s, both with the setting and the culture that the characters of the film emit. Of course, another one of Quentin Tarantino's oddities is his trademark "foot shots", and this film might just top all the rest of his works with the number of shots with dirty, unadultered shots of women's feet. This is of course due to the man's foot fetish, which he never denied at one point and he makes sure that every audience of his films gets to see somebody's feet in his films.

Margot Robbie's feet, because just like Sharon Tate, she shares the sentiment of not liking having to wear shoes in public 

All in all, I'd recommend this to anybody who's either into Quentin Tarantino films or are film connoisseurs, or those who fancy a film about famous actors and actresses back in the golden age of Hollywood. Sure, this isn't by far the best Tarantino film and some might even argue that it could be one of his worst, but as somebody who took the gamble on spending about 10 bucks to see this in a pretty cozy film theatre, I'd say it was well worth the price. Though some people argue that the main issue with this film is how dragging it feels at times with a screentime of 2 hours and 40 minutes, I'd say one of my largest issues with this film is how Tarantino portrays some well known characters in this film, say for example how he handled the portrayal of Bruce Lee behind the silver screen. Sure, the guy's sometimes arrogant but not to a point that he's ever boastful about his abilities. Other than how Tarantino sees these people were back in the day, I'd say for a creative retelling of Hollywood's golden age, it's pretty okay. It doesn't bombard its viewers with information that would make you look like a cinema geek, but it shows enough and none of the scenes ever feel forced, except personally of course with the amount of feet shots this film has, which I guess is another one of my gripes with this film but I'd say that's a bit more personal if anything, each to their own I suppose, no kink-shaming in my blog definitely.

That would sum it up for my short review of the film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" by Quentin Tarantino, and if you ask me, sure, it had its flaws and very questionnable feet shots, but I'd like to say I do believe if no other better film were made last year, this could've easily won the Oscars. It just so happens that it kinda got sandwiched in between a great foreign film and other great American made films. Comparing it to others, this would be an overall "okay" kind of film, not one that you could have sex in while watching though I could see that given at how long the film can be. But on its own, it definitely holds up to be yet another one of Tarantino's good films.

A New Beginning (maybe)

Hey, it's been a while hasn't it? That is, if you consider almost five years as "a while".


Anyway, enough of self-deprication as we head onto a new upbringing, call it NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread 2.0. Will this mean that I will be posting regularly from now on? I can't tell just for now. What I can tell you is that for my first of many posts that I will be making in this blog will be about a movie that I honestly believe could've won Oscars, if not for the rightful winner that is Parasite of course.

That would be all, if you do have suggestions of whatever games or films I look into, just leave them in the comments section below, and if you've been waiting this long for my return, why not give my previous reviews a read? Though admittedly I don't write as I did five years ago, but they opinions that I shared back then still hold true up til today.

We all know that I've only been active for the past 2 months or so, and umm, sad to say guys, but I'll have delayed posts from now on.
School just started in my country and well, as a consistent wise guy in school, I'll have to spend more time in my school activities.

But hey! Don't be saddened by this announcement! I'll make sure that at least once in two weeks I'll have a review about something or anything in my blog ok?
Or, if I have spare time to waste, then I'll be able to post at least once a week, just like my normal post frequency.

A Toasty Review : Dev Guy

Hi guys this is me, NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread and today we're going to talk about Steam's new free adventure game, Dev Guy!

So, let's start shall we? If you want to check the game for yourself, the link can be found below!

First of all, Dev Guy is a game that lets you control an indie game developer that has struggles on releasing his game.
The game features different kinds of game devs, and is also a short adventure game for casual gamers.

The story starts as the main protagonist, or you, finish making his game.
The only catch is, you can't use your computer right now and that you have to go at the where your car is parked.
As you travel around your apartment and other apartment rooms, you will be able to see rooms of different game developers just like you.

After that, I won't be able to say much if I don't want to spoil it, other thing that I can say though is that it's a short game that has the elements of a point-and-click adventure game and a light novel.

My rating, hmm.. I guess I'll give it 8/10.
Why 8 only? Well, like what I've said in my other posts, I like adventure games that aren't too short.
It still feels like there's more to the game than this.
I mean, it only took me two hours straight to complete the whole game.
It really feels like there's more in the future because the developer of the game still has updates for the game.

Toasy Review: Spooky's House of Jumpscares

Hello guys, this is me NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread.
Today we're going to talk about the famous cute and spooky game, "Spooky's House of Jumpscares"!
Oh,am I excited for this!

This game just became FREE in Steam, so if ya want to be spooked out by cute things, go and get your own copy now! {Link found below the post}.

OK! So first of all, if you haven't heard or if you don't know this game yet or if you're just a total sissy that doesn't want to be spooked out by ridiculous jumpscares, then I suggest you to get this game!

Because
1. It's cute
Trust me, best thing is that in every safe room where you can save, there's a photo of a cute lil' kitten hanging at the wall to at least calm players down.

(Meow!)

2. It's free
Do I need to expound this part? Ok, if you say so. You can get spooked by ridiculously cute things by paying nothing! How cool is that!

3. As I've said, it's overloaded with cute things
Even when the ambiance of your surrounding environment is spooky and that you feel like somebody will pop out if you look behind, what can I say, they're cute ghosts! (Except for the one that tries to catch you and kill you. Uggghhh I hate that ghost.)

Ok, if you worry about complicated stories and puzzles in your typical horror game, worry no more!
This game only has one objective, go through a thousand rooms in this weird and spooky mansion!

How you got in this mansion, is, well, a mystery. I don't know if going through all the one thousand rooms will answer any of your questions because I myself haven't finished the game.
Also, this game isn't for the weak hearted as the jumpscares can be totally random and unexpected sometimes so, if you have a pal that is prone to heart attacks, I suggest not to let him touch this game, unless he insists of course, in that case, it's his/her fault if s/he suddenly suffers in a heart attack.
With that said, don't tell me I didn't warn you!

Now for the verdict! Drum roll please!
*drum rolls*
I give it a 9/10!
You read that right! 9/10 peeps!
Well, why though? Considering that the only thing you have to do in this game is to go through a bunch of rooms with a bunch of jumscares, why 9/10?

To answer those, let me state this.
The game is new.
The game is cute and spooky at the same time (who would of thought that that would work right?)
And also, it's for free.
It's just been released so I can say that for a new game, it shows potential even when it could use some more work, and I like it.

Ok! So that's it for my review today about the new free Steam game "Spooky's House of Jumpscares"!

A Toasty Review: Steam Game Fistful of Frags

Hey there guys it's me NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread making a video game review about the game from Steam, Fistful of Frags.

This game is a free western FPS game that uses Half-Life 2 as it's base, but the thing is, it's not a mod, but rather a stand-alone game. Which simply means that you don't need HL2 to be able to play Fistful of Frags.

Now, let's talk about the gameplay mechanics. It's just like your typical First-Person shooter game that has many objectives in-game but it is mainly achieved by killing, or as called in this game, "fragging" your enemies.

Each server for this game has it's own game mode.
Here are some of the many available game modes in-game:
Deathmatch: It's a game mode that is free-for-all. All you have to do in this game mode is to get the most frags you can within the time limit.
Team Deathmatch: This one's similar to Deathmatch, the only difference is that you play as a team. There could either be two teams or four teams.
Teamplay: Like Team Deathmatch, you play in teams. But, unlike Team Deathmatch, this game mode showcases rather different objectives per round.

Funny thing in this game is that, because it uses HL2 as it's base, the game also has ragdoll moments. For example, when a stick of dynamite explodes right in front of you, you suddenly get thrown to the air and a few meters away from where you were standing.
As I've mentioned earlier, this game is a western FPS, which means, that's right, you play as COWBOYS and CRIMINALS, which for me is pretty fun.

The only thing good about this game is that, it's been running for almost a year, but still is running good, they're even updating this game every once in a while.

So yup, I guess I don't need to explain more to this wonderful game.
Anyway, my overall rating for this game is----- *drum roll*
IS 9/10!
OH THAT WAS SO CLOSE GUYS!!! IT'S A 9/10!
But why 9 only Toasty? Well, all I can say is that overall gameplay is good, don't need that much to play this game, no microtransactions at all, and it features lots of game modes that will make sure that you're glued to your seats.
Now, like before, I've said (and complained) this already, toxic players. Yup.
BUT the good thing is that the devs of this game made sure that foul language is out of the game. How, you ask? Well, it's in the chats.
For example, if a player attempts to type in the word "damn", the chat sections won't show the word "damn" but instead the word "dang". Pretty clever right? Well, I think all game devs should consider this when making co-op games.

Toasty Review : Gundam RX 78-2 MG ver. 3.0

Today we'll be talking about Gundam RX 78-2 MG scale version 3.0.

First, before talking about the gunpla kit, let's talk about the history of the Gundam itself first.
What is Gundam RX 78-1? How about Gundam RX 78-2? Is he important to the franchise of Gundam?

(Ohhh yes, the nostalgia)

Well, it IS basically important since it is the first ever Gundam that was shown in the first ever Gundam series. RX 78-1 is the first mobile suit in the line-up of the RX series of mobile suits made by the Federation in case you guys didn't know. Along side with the Gundam, the RX series also has the Guntank (RX 75-4) and the Guncannon (RX 77-2). All of which were created by the Federation at U.C 0082.

Introduction

Now, the RX 78-2 Gundam is the titular Mobile Suit in the Mobile Suit Gundam series and franchise. It is often piloted by the protagonist of the story, Amuro Ray, the accidental pilot of the Gundam.

RX 78-2 was a Mobile Suit built secretly in Side 7.

Armaments

The Gundam showcases different armaments based off of the Prototype Gundam.

60 mm Gatling Cannons "Vulcan Guns"

These automatic cannons are found in the head of the Gundam. It has the fastest rate of fire amongst all the Gundam's weapons. A backfire of this weapon is that even when the fastest firing, it is known that it's bullets has a hard time on penetrating through armor (but it was shown also that it's damage is comparable to it's other weapons when fired at point blank range). It is mainly used for close-ranged combat as I've said earlier that it's pretty scary if fired at point rank range. Other than that, it's also used for firing at missiles, infantry, light armored enemies and vehicles and other light armored aircrafts.

Beam Sabers

As said, the Beam Sabers are it's main weapon for use at close-ranged combat. It uses particles that are stored at the E cap of the weapon that is found at the hilt of the sword. It's also the first known beam oriented weapon that is used at close range.

Beam Javelin

A variant of the beam sabers that has longer range and a more articulate design that can cut through armor more efficiently than beam sabers.

Gundam Hammer/Hyper Hammer

An unusual weapon that is not beam oriented and is used for close-ranged combat. It is a large spiked ball that is attached to a chain that the Gundam can swing at foes and has a rather long and wide range. It was later upgraded to Hyper Hammer that has rockets mounted in it for use in space and zero gravity combat.

BAUVA*XBR-M-78-07G(Bauva eXperiental Beam Rifle Medium Range)

A revolutionary weapon that uses the Federation's E-cap (energy capacitor) technology. It's the main weapon of the Gundam that's the first of it's kind. This weapon gives the Gundam the firepower that's as strong as a battleship's. While it is relatively strong, it has a low rate of fire due to it's high energy output, which is a backfire of this strong revolutionary weapon.

BLASH*XHB0-L-03N/STD(Blash eXperimental Hyper Bazooka Long-range)

This is Federation's answer to Zaku's bazooka, the Hyper Bazooka is a strong long-ranged weapon. It's basically a large rocket launcher that could fire several 380 mm missiles at it's enemies. Like the Beam Rifle, it's backfire to it's strong fire power is it's slow rate of fire and it has a relatively low amount of ammunition. It's perfect for use against slow moving, heavy armored enemies.

RX*M-Sh-008/S-01025 (Renpou[Federation] eXperimental Medium Shield)

The main shield of the Gundam, a hand-carried forearm-mounted or stored on the Gundam's backpack, is a simple shield used for a single sided defense against enemy fire. It could block most ballistic and explosive projectiles. It's also perfect for defense at close-ranged combat as it could be used to parry against enemy close-range weapons. It has a view port for the Gundam to peek at, and it's heat resistant surface could also be used for atmospheric re-entry from space.

My Review about the kit

Well, version 3 of the kit has many improvements from it's past kit models. It's articulations are far better than the previous versions and it is known that this version is an EXACT replica of the RG scale of this model. I mean, it's armor that makes it looks good doesn't affect it's poseability and movement. For this review, let's forget that this is an exact replica of the RG scale kit. It's articulations are what gunpla modelers look up to, and well it didn't disappoint but rather it delivered pretty well. 

Now let's talk about it's colors. For me, I'd say that it's more vibrant even though more simple than the other versions, which I think most of us wants in a kit right? It's combination and intricate design blends well because of the fact that even it's joints have separate armor panels that also has it's own stickers to hide it's inner frame. 

What else am I supposed to say about this kit... hmm.. I know! It's design. The weapons are OBVIOUSLY the same as the 2.0's. To add to that, even the core fighter is the same to the 2.0's that it fits perfectly to the 3.0. But the core fighter isn't needed for the kit to function so you can just set it aside.

Anyways, all gunpla builders know that this Gunpla kit was released like 2 years before, so why make a review? Let's say that this is just the start of my Gunpla kit reviews so yaaaah, don't be so harsh fellow Gunpla builders haha.

Once again this is NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread saying, if you can't build it, then don't buy it! Good gunpla kits needs good gunpla builders if you want it to be a good build.

A Toasty Review: Steam game Fractured Space

Hi there! This is me, NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread making a video game review of Fractured Space.

Fractured Space is a team based space combat early access game in it's alpha state. It's worth 

$9.99 in Steam and let's hope that it'll stay like that until the game gets finished.
Although, if you got the game when it was featured in free weekend, you'll get to keep the game in your account forever, isn't that amazing?

For an early access and alpha game, it shows a lot of potential to become the next EVE Online like game. It features fast-paced space battles held with ships that you control.
In-game, there are three manufacturers of ships where you get to choose your ship.
First: The United Space Research or USR for short.
The USR's first ship is the Flagship, a large, slow moving ship that can act as the tank of the team as it has high health that it'll take literally at least two or three ships to take down.
Second: Zarek Industrial: Zarek's first ship is the Hunter. The Hunter is Zarek's ship that has average health and overwhelming firepower. It's size is somewhat smaller than that of the Flagship's, but it can also take a lot of damage just like the Flagship. Both Flagships and Hunters can act as tanks in the battlefield.
Third: Titan Defense Systems: Titan Defense Systems' ships are mainly for support purposes. It's first ship is the Corvette, a small support craft. While it can't take that much damage unlike the other two first said ships, it's main purpose is to support it's tanks with healing beams and shields that can turn the tides in-game if used efficiently.

As for now, the game features a single map that has five sectors, each of which can become a battlefield for both teams. The main sectors are the Team 1 base and the Team 2 base. The three other sectors is where most of the battles will occur. Those three are namely the Gamma(middle) sector, the Alpha(right) sector, and Beta(left) sector. (The positioning of the Alpha and Beta sectors depends on what team you are in)

As it features 5v5 battles, each team can either choose to have two people in the Alpha or Beta sector, then three at the remaining sector.

There are two ways in which your team could win the game. One is, to gather as much oil as possible by taking control of the Gamma sector and other oil structures found in all other sectors of the map including the bases, or you could simply take control of the enemy team's HQ.

To be able to warp to your enemy team's base, you should take control of either the Beta's or Alpha's bases, marked as red large dots in the mini-map.Once enemies start to attempt to capture your base, the only thing you could do by that time is to take them down. Unlike bases and oil structures in the Beta and Alpha sectors, HQ's can't be recaptured.

As for now, I give this game a rating of 8/10. Everybody who has read my past blogposts knows that I don't rate games that much. I only rate those games that are meant to be rated. Mainly because I also agree with their ratings from other gamers. I only rate games that are SUPPOSED to be rated by gamers who think that it's worth it. And for me, I think that this game is promising. VERY PROMISING.

So, that's it for today this is me NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread saying, games are meant to be played, not meant to be made for profit. If you make games for profit, you should rather consider getting a job.(That's for those game devs that don't finish and make their games right even though their games shows potential in them).

Man's Bestfriend

Hey there guys! It's me, NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread! Today we'll talk about something different.

It maybe gaming related but it isn't a video game review. Have you guessed what we'll talk about today?
Yes? No? Well guess no more! We'll talk about: A Man's Bestfriend! And you guys know what that is right? Wait, you misunderstood me? I'm not talking about dogs silly! I'm talking about pizza!
How is this gaming related Toasty? Well, very simple. A pizza could simply be a staple food for a hungry gamer! Now, in today's post, we'll talk about it's origins and stuff like that.

So, first of all... where'd pizza originate anyways?

Hahaha all of you might be wondering where, well, that's simple, it originated from the Italian people.The word "pizza" was first documented in 997 AD in Gaeta, Italy, and successively in different parts of Central and South Italy as stated in Wikipedia. It was said that the precursor of pizza was probably the focaccia, a flat bread known to the Romans as "panis focacius" to which various different toppings were added.

Foods similar to pizza have been made way back at the neolithic age. People were adding other ingredients to bread so that they would make it more flavorful throughout ancient history.
It was said that in Sardinia, French and Italian archaeologists have found bread baked over 7,000 years ago. According to Professor Philippe Marinval, the local islanders leaved bread.

So, how's this gaming related again?
Well, isn't it rewarding if, after playing a fulfilling a game of competitive gaming, let's say FIFA or CoD, you get a slice, or even better, a whole pizza? And also, pizza has been known as somewhat a staple food to gamers since it's easy to eat with just one hand.

Another thing is that it has almost every ingredient that a man needs to be able to survive grinding through hours of gaming. Let's say playing Bloodborne or looting in Destiny. Since there's a variety of pizzas found in every pizza places, even vegetarians can enjoy pizza!

SO! Have you tried eating pizza while gaming? If not, then better try do so because whether you're a vegetarian or you want lots of meat in your bread, you can have any pizza! Isn't that amazing?

Freefall Tournament : Steam Greenlight

This is NotYourOrdinarySliceofBread.
Today I will be making a game review about Freefall Tournament.

Freefall Tournament is a third-person shooter game that has been recently greenlit by Steam.
What's so good about Freefall Tournament that I will make a review about it???
Well first of all, it's free. When I say free, no downloads, no money needed to play( although if you want to help the game dev, you can buy some of their in-game currency packs or even hero packs with real money).
It's also an online game played around the world, so you might make friends or foes in different countries.
It's a web based TPS game that is free to play, but sadly, as the game got greenlit in Steam, it suddenly turned into a Pay 2 Win game, that is a downside of this good game. The game used to have 5 heroes free per week,  but now, the free hero weekly rotation suddenly reduced to only ONE hero per week.
But I must say, I had fun while it lasted.
Another downside of this game being so popular is it's toxic community. People talking trash about how you play or how your allies play, people talking trash about how their enemies play, I mean, a bunch of trashtalkers suddenly got in-game when it became so popular. It feels like it's getting a bit mainstream for a popular game. For example, the online community of CoD. Yes, the famous (or maybe infamous due to it's popularity for the number of toxic players playing the game) CoD franchise, has been a den of toxic players ever since it got popular.
Having a toxic community in a popular game is inevitable. It'll happen as long as your game gets popular. The downside of this? Players will hesitate on playing due to allies and/or enemies judging every move you make, and to add to that, as they judge, they add foul words to their judgments.
Now, this game is a competitive TPS game for players who like to grind on their games, not to mention that players only get one free hero every week.
But overall, I rate this game 8/10. Why 8 Toasty? Well, simple. I just want to say that the game has potential in it, maybe if they have a banning system or maybe a reporting system, toxic players and those who cause the game to have a bad reputation will be banned and will be given a lesson.
And yes, that's my only complaint about the game, it's toxic community.
Nonetheless, try out the game yourself! See if you''ll encounter toxic or friendly players. But just a reminder, if you DO encounter toxic players and they start to talk trash, let them be. Let them flood the chat and make them look like an idiot (lol).

A Toasty review: Mobile game "Out There"

Well hello there! If ever you just wondered through my blog, this is NotYourOrdinarySliceOfBread!
Today I will make a review for the game "Out There"

Out There is an exploration game blending resource management and gamebook mechanics without combat. In my opinion, it's somewhat like a visual novel game for you have to make decisions that will probably change the outcome of the game. Out There is also an award winning game on Steam, which made it more popular to gamers everywhere.

There's not much to say to the story of the game unless I want to spoil it, which I don't want to do, but here is the introduction to the game plot. 

"You are an astronaut awaking in a cryonics not in the solar system, but... out there, in a far unknown place in the galaxy." 

The only goal for this is for you to survive and reach your destination, a star that is somewhat "calling" onto you.

I rate this game a perfect 10/10. This game is PERFECT for those who can strategically think while venturing unknown places.

As seen in the last screenshot, you will encounter alien life forms as you progress in the game.

The game is worth $3.39 in the playstore.

Robotek

Hello, this is NotYourOrdinarySliceofBread.
Today I will make a video game review about Robotek.
And once again, this game is made by that cool studio, Hexage.


The Humanity had fallen.
In the great robot uprising, machines took the planet over.

Robotek is a turn-based, slot machine, strategy, action- RPG game.
Let me explain it to you guys.
The player(you) always clicks the slot machine first.
You have three choices to choose from every turn.
You can produce soldiers at your command, use perks that could protect you from enemy attacks, or use devastating attacks to damage your opponent.



If you get only one symbol in one turn, it will give you another extra turn.
When you get three soldier symbols in one turn, it will turn that soldier unit into a level three elite unit.This goes with the Tankbot, the Drone, and the Droid.
Just a brief explanation of what are the purposes of each unit.
Drone: It is a well balanced flying unit that shoots twice when it is level one. Each level increases health, damage, and how many times it will attack.
Tankbot: Although it is not your strongest attacker, it is your strongest defender, Each level increases it's attack damage and health.
Droid: This is my favorite unit. If you get an elite Droid, you already have the advantage. It's purposely made for attack. It can literally turn the tides for you IF you can defend this little guy from strong enemy attacks.




As you level up, you gain skills that may also turn the tides when used wisely.
Rapid Fire: This is a skill that when used, it would make your robots attack TWICE. Best used when you have an elite Droid, or all the THREE units on elite.
Emergency Repair:This skill repairs you and your robots when activated. Best used when you really need it and when your opponent doesn't have the capability to deal too much damage.
Summon Hero: This skill summon's a hero of random unit type. It would be helpful to use this when you don't have any robot to defend you and attack the opponent.
Nuke:This skill is basically what it's name says. IT'S A NUKE. Do I have to talk about it that much? No. All I can say is that it could turn the tides best when the enemy doesn't have a firewall. AND IF EVER THAT BOTH OF YOU CAN UNLEASH A NUKE, LET YOUR ENEMY NUKE FIRST. Why? Well, just look at the scenario, if both of you have the same amount of health, same amount of robots to defend and if the enemy nukes first, you will lose all your robots, the enemy robots attack you, they gain EXP and might even level up. NOW, it's your turn to NUKE. You get to produce new robots, you NUKE the enemy robots and the enemy mainframe, your robots attack the enemy mainframe giving them EXP. Now take a look at the situation, both of you and your enemy devastated, low on health, the only difference is that YOU HAVE EXP'ed ROBOTS AT YOUR SIDE TO DEFEND YOU. You see that? That's simply called tactics and strategy.
